Our Mission
The mission of the Orange Democratic Town Committee (ODTC) is to improve the quality of life for Orange residents by engaging, educating, and advocating for our community. We promote the advancement of Democratic Party ideals and foster inclusive civic participation while developing and supporting candidates for local, state and federal offices who represent the diverse voices of all Orange residents.

Monthly meetings: Third Tuesday of each month, 7pm at High Plains Community Center.
Open to the public.
Contact us at email or 203-314-9975 if you'd like to attend or have any questions.
Community Involvement
The ODTC is quite active during election season. We also participate in community initiatives throughout the year, including:
-
Orange Country Fair booth in the Civic Tent - we hand out voter registration and absentee ballot forms, and provide info about candidates, who are often there to answer questions.
-
The ODTC has raised or donated funds for breast cancer research, local scholarships, disaster relief efforts, the Orange fuel bank, and the Orange Food Bank.
-
Multiple members of the ODTC volunteered on Orange Bicentennial Committees and helped with the Bicentennial Family Dinner.
-
Many ODTC members are members/officers of other Orange groups - Orange Rotary, Orange Lion’s Club, Orange Players, Orange Historical Society, Orange Community Women, and Orange Recycling Committee, to name a few.

Post-election letter from Jody Dietch, ODTC Chair - 11/6/24
Let me start by congratulating our winners, especially MJ Shannon who flipped the 117th district back to blue!!! It was inspiring to watch him and his young team work so hard and prove that that hard work pays off. We look forward to him representing part of Orange in Hartford and working with Mary and James who both won re-election, not that there was any doubt... Read full letter.
